The sole purpose of this service is to better serve and keep the citizens informed of situations within the city. Text the word 'MadisonSD' (no spaces, not case sensitive) to 33222 to sign up to receive text messages.
Messages cover a range of announcements (emergencies, snow alerts, energy alerts, garbage schedule updates, water main breaks, outages, City events, street closures, and more!).
Email Newsletters & Updates (Police Only)
Our police department offers email updates on a regular basis. To sign up, please complete the form to receive email correspondence from the Police Department. The City uses MailChimp (a free bulk emailer) to send out our emails to residents; please check your spam filters to be sure emails are coming through after signup.
