There are many ways that the City of Madison works to serve the community.  The following are the major departments of the city.  If you need information on or assistance with a particular city function or service, please contact the appropriate department at the listed telephone number.  Many departments have also posted specific information under their department.

Restricted Use Site- Winter Hours Start Nov. 1st.

The Restricted Use Site, located west of Junius, will be switching to winter hours -- open by appointment only -- beginning Thursday, November 1, 2018.

Lake County Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan

The Board of Commissioners voted to adopt the Lake County Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan 2018-2023 during the Monday, October 15, 2018 meeting. Click for more information and to view the entire document.

West Center Street Project

The construction of Center Street between Blanche Ave & Highland Ave is scheduled to commence April 30. Starting May 9, a weekly meeting every Wednesday will be held at 10am at the City Commission room during construction. Click for more details on the project.

ROAD CLOSURE: Section of Center St.

Starting August 13, 2018, at 8:00 A.M., Center Street from Highland Avenue to Catherine Avenue will be closed with no vehicle access. Please have all vehicles/trailers removed from driveways/garages/and road before the above date and time.
