The following boards currently have open seats: Library and Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment.

Library has 2 open 3-year terms on the board. This board meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 5:15pm.

Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment has 1 open 5-year term on the board. This board meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:00am.

If you are interested in any of these boards or have questions, please email finance@cityofmadisonsd.com. Please include which board you are interested in, a statement on why you are interested in serving on this board, and any experience/knowledge that would be beneficial to the board.

DENR Recognizes City of Madison

The South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) announced that the City of Madison public water system and the system’s operation specialists have been awarded a Drinking Water Certificate of Achievement Award. Click for more.

West Center Street Project

The construction of Center Street between Blanche Ave & Highland Ave is scheduled to commence April 30. Starting May 9, a weekly meeting every Wednesday will be held at 10am at the City Commission room during construction. Click for more details on the project.

Restricted Use Site to Resume Summer Hours

The Restricted Use Site, located west of Junius, will be switching to summer hours beginning Monday, April 2, 2018. Monday - Thursday 1:30PM - 4PM, Friday & Saturday, 9AM - 1PM.
