Sign up for load management with the City of Madison & you could save over $200 on your annual utility bill!

Load management is the shifting of certain types of elecrical use to off-peak periods in order to save money. Participants in Madison's load management program can earn credits each month on their utility bills by allowing the city to briefly cycle ccertain appliances on and off during peak periods. 

Eligible Appliances:

  • Electric water heaters = up to $7.50/month credit
  • Air conditioners = up to $22.50/month credit for three summer months
  • Electric heat = up to $22.50/month credit for three winter months

Egan Avenue Parking Lot Project

Beginning on August 20, 2018, the City parking lot located on S. Egan Ave will be closed for improvements and repaving. This lot will be closed for approximately three weeks, weather permitting.

ROAD CLOSURE: Section of Center St.

Starting August 13, 2018, at 8:00 A.M., Center Street from Highland Avenue to Catherine Avenue will be closed with no vehicle access. Please have all vehicles/trailers removed from driveways/garages/and road before the above date and time.

Sealcoating to Begin August 20th

The City of Madison and the Lake County Highway Department will begin seal coating various city streets on Monday, August 20th, starting at 7:00a.m., weather permitting.  Seal coating will take approximately 5 days to complete. Click for details and map.
